U.S. Open Best Bets (8/26/25)

Best Bets:

1) Donna Vekic +100 vs. Jessica Bouzas Maneiro: I have Vekic priced at -130. She should be a slight favorite and we’re getting even money. We’ll back Donna to get through the first round tonight.

2) Ajla Tomljanović +6.5 games (-110) vs. Coco Gauff: Look, Coco has struggled as of late. She was upset in straight sets in the first round of Wimbledon. She’s fired two coaches this year, and now she comes into the U.S. Open trying to implement a new serve. She’s had plenty of struggles with her old serve, but it’s unlikely she looks sharp early. Tomljanović will be competitive in both sets, even if she does lose this match outright. 6.5 games is way too many. Back the dog to keep this match tight.

3) Roberto Bautista vs. Jacob Fearnley OVER 37.5 games (-110): Bautista is a short favorite in this match, and Fearnley has come into this match in bad form. Neither guy has shown great consistency as of late, and it’s highly unlikely we see this match go one way in straight sets. Given how close these two players are, 4 sets should be easily enough to get over the total, even though I think there’s a shot this goes 5. Take the over.
